Be sure to check with your primary care physician or the nearest urgent care facility to rule out bacterial infections like Strep before attempting these natural cures. Also, avoid using solutions that may conflict with the medications you are taking or include any substances to which you are allergic.


1. Drink a cup of warm water flavored with a spoonful of apple cider vinegar and honey. Both honey and apple cider vinegar contains antimicrobial qualities that could ease a sore throat. *Water should always be used to lessen apple cider vinegar's acidity.


2. Use salt water to gargle. Make your salt water by dissolving 1 tsp of salt in 1 cup of warm water. Once per hour, gargle for around 30 seconds with a mouthful of the mixture. Salt can help eliminate undesirable microorganisms while also reducing throat tissue swelling.
